Some new stuff in the studio for everyone in the RPM/Electronic towers. Lots of variety here in the sub-genres of electronic.

For those who like dance music check out Mr. V and Boom Bip. All of you Thievery Corp. fans should have a listen to the new Telepath album. And anyone who enjoys experimental Brazillian craziness needs to checkout Bonde do Role, I dare you to play it, you'll be hooked!

Enjoy!

Boom Bip - Sacchrilege EP - Lex
Grade: A+
Genre: Electronic/Dance
Review: Known for his organic and sedated hiphop productions, Boom Bip (aka Bryan Hollow) moves in an exciting new direction with dance-ready electronic sounds. For fans of 80s Italo disco, Crystal Method, Eric Prydz, etc.

Recommended Tracks:
PLAY THEM ALL!

Telepath - Fire One - Echo Project
Grade: A-
Genre: Electronic/World
Review: Eastern-influenced smooth grooves, great for chill-out sessions or for voice-overs and announcements. Similar to the sound that Thievery Corporation has made so popular.

Recommended Tracks:

1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10

Bonde do Role - With Lasers - Domino
Grade: B+
Genre: Electronic/Pop
Review: Brazillian MC and DJ three piece described frequently as the "Brazillian Beastie Boys". Their music is a playful, rocked up take on baile funk with plenty of grunge guitars, electric Latin beats, and a lot of cheese on top. Plenty of mashed up summer fun.

8. tribal drums mixed with deep dancefloor beats and playground vocals
10. bare bones tribal cadence

Mr. V - Welcome Home - Vega Records

Review: New York’s own Mr. V drops his debut album. As an unknown DJ/producer, Victor plugged away in the shadow of Men At Work’s Louie Vega. Now Mr. V releases his debut album, which features a slew of house tunes with hip-hop and Latin influences. Featured cuts include “Da Bump” featuring collaborator and long-time life partner Miss Patty, “Somethin’ (Wit’ Jazz)”, "Put Your Drink Down", and “Jus Dance,” the tune that put him on the map.

Recommended Tracks:

3. bumpin' party starter
5. mellow spacey mash-up
7. dance hiphop a la Missy Elliot
8. infectious conga rhythms for the dancefloor
9. electro bass and driving dance beats with smooth vocals
10. smooth nujazz dance anthem
