Review: If Looks Could Kill was released as a single with 2 new tracks for air time. You may recognize “Looks” from the unanimously popular Let’s Get Out Of This Country released in 2006.
“Hands Up Baby” was recorded with Jari in Stockholm during the album sessions, and “Alaska” was freshly recorded in Scotland.
“Hands Up” is a creepy duet about an obsessive ex-boyfriend. Still great song despite the subject matter-- especially the haunting violin solo.
“Alaska” is also nice. Paints a lovely picture with the words. And besides, I love Sycamore trees.
