but it's a good one.
Wax Poetic; Brasil
In 1977, a Turkish-Sweed named Ilhan Ersahin arranged a, “trip-hop outfit,” called Wax Poetic. Rather than “trip-hop,” I’d explain Brasil to sound more like electro-samba poetry. These tracks are all rather chill with the exception of #’s 2, 8, and 11. Listening to this album, you will be (if you aren’t already) enamored with the Portuguese language.
comments / tracks of interest:
#1: ethereal feel, male vocals for love
#2: hard-core Brazilian rap
#3: sweet female vocals
#4: samba
#5: beep beats with other soft sounds
#8: English & Portuguese, “get crazy”
*#9: another English & Portuguese song, notable rhythm tonalities
#11: upbeat, more rap
